Key lock storage rooms are located at the west end of each floor of the Operations Area. They are approximately 95 sq. ft. with a 9’ ceiling. At Level 69 the room number is 6904, but at the other levels they are numbered 7905-12905. These areas are available for general storage, particularly small ordnance.

To the east of the cells (across the hallway to the east of Cell 3) are are seven rooms at Level 69 through 129. These rooms have been dubbed the “Pagoda Rooms” after the Indianapolis Motor Speedway control tower which was called the Pagoda. At level 69 the room number is 6902 while the remaining levels are numbered 7903-12903. These are all clean areas fed by the air from the Highbay.
At Level 69 there is no west wall. This “room” becomes, in effect, a 540 sq. ft. enlarged hallway to get to the Lower Tower Area. But, because of its size, it has been used for cell support such as Satellite Vehicle thermal blanket storage.
Level 89 is also unique. This room is used as the Control Room for launches from SLC-8.
The remaining five rooms provide approximately 400 sq. ft. of storage in each room.
