Transporter Airlock

 

Although originally provided as a buffer area for operations between the external environment and the main processing areas, the IPF Transporter Airlock has significant processing capability of its own, including:


    * A 24’w x 28’ 1" (Max) high door between the Airlock and the Highbay

    * A 24’ wide x 30’’ high door to the Transporter Airlock apron

    * 30’ x 100’ (11.8m x 39.4m) working area

    * Two 5-ton overhead cranes with a maximum hook height of 35’-5" (14m)

    * 125, 208 and 480 VAC utility power

    * Facility and tech grounds

    * ESD dissipative, fuel, oxidizer, and cleanroom compatible epoxy paint on floor

    * Explosion proof fixtures

    * Shop air

    * Pass-through for access to external compressed air for air-bearing operations

    * Class 100,000 clean (10,000 functional)

    * Continuous monitoring and alarm of Particle Counts, Humidity, Hydrocarbons, Positive Pressure and Temperature

    * Central vacuum system

    * CCTV capability

    * OVS capability

    * Telephones

    * Single and multi-mode fiber optic and Cat 5 interfaces


The Airlock and the Highbay are on Level 64.

Access to the IPF is from the Apron/Washdown Area through the 24’ (7.3m) wide, 31’ (9.5m) high main door on the west side of the Transporter Airlock.
